Cardiovascular Area Business Manager - Pacific NW

Role Summary

Pfizer has a deep heritage and leadership in Cardiovascular Disease, and we are committed to providing breakthroughs that change patients’ lives. An integral part of Internal Medicine, the Cardiology Team’s mission is to bring breakthrough therapy for patients suffering from NVAF or VTE.

This role reports to the CARD RBD and collaborates with customer-facing and HQ teams. The Area Business Manager (ABM) will supervise 9-12 representatives, oversee sales performance, and analyze market trends to identify key stakeholders and future opportunities. The role involves regular in-field and virtual coaching, customer contact, and partnership with marketing and channel teams, ensuring compliance and fostering a culture of integrity.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise operations of the District, including hiring, coaching, development, and performance management of 9-12 representatives.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans, manage budgets, and monitor performance to meet district and division goals.
  • Utilize promotional materials effectively, contribute to marketing planning, and assess marketing activities.
  • Analyze market data to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Build relationships with customers, KOLs, and key stakeholders, and develop external advocacy and community engagement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, to develop strategies and ensure compliance.
  • Coach representatives on connecting with customers, using digital tools, and executing plans in a hybrid environment.
  • Maintain product knowledge and leverage analytics tools for insights.
  • Promote a feedback and continuous improvement culture, set team goals, and ensure adherence to policies and virtual engagement objectives.
Qualifications
Basic
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 3-5 years in pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical sales/marketing with leadership experience
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and leadership skills
  • Willingness to travel
Preferred
  • MBA or relevant graduate degree
  • 3-5 years of people management
  • Experience with key thought leaders and high-influence customers
  • Cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Digital and virtual engagement expertise
  • Strategic thinking and stakeholder management abilities
Additional Details

Position covers Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and parts of Montana and Wyoming. The role is remote and field-based, with travel as needed. Salary ranges from $133,000 to $268,300 plus quarterly incentives. Benefits include 401(k), health coverage, paid leave, and more. Relocation assistance may be available.
