Job summary

Qualifications

• Board-certified PA with Prescriptive Authority in good standing.
• Minimum 1 year of cardiothoracic surgical first assisting experience.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
• Equivalents in education and experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the cardiovascular operating room as a Roombased Physician Assistant.
• Obtain patient history, perform assessments, order and interpret diagnostics.
• Provide direct treatment and management with prescriptive authority or referrals.
• Counsel patients and families about health conditions and options.
• Document care and participate in staff and student education.
• Other duties as assigned.
