Job summary

AMN Healthcare Physician Solutions is seeking a Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant for a locum tenens role in Kentucky. The position involves 6:30am–6:00pm inpatient coverage for coronary, valve, transplant, and VAD cases. Credentialing typically takes 30–60 days, with Cerner EMR usage and required BLS/ACLS certifications.

The ideal candidate holds an active Kentucky license, with malpractice insurance arranged by AMN and full travel/lodging support for contractors.

Qualifications

• Must have Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Active Kentucky medical license required.
• Credentialing typically 30–60 days.
• Inpatient CT surgery experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide cardiothoracic surgical PA support for inpatient cases.
• Care for coronaries, valve replacements, cardiac transplants and VADs.
• Work within Cerner EMR environment and hospital protocols.
