Job summary

AMN Healthcare is seeking a Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant for a locum tenens assignment. Start ASAP with outpatient surgical duties and a Monday–Friday schedule, plus 1:4 on-call rotation.

EPIC EMR proficiency and active BLS/ACLS certifications are required; a PA license in PA is needed or eligibility. Credentialing may take 60+ days; comprehensive travel and housing support are provided by AMN.

Qualifications

• Must have BLS and ACLS certifications.
• DEA license required for interview-to-hire.
• PA license valid in Pennsylvania or eligible to obtain.
• Experience in cardiothoracic surgery preferred.
• Locum tenens assignment with EPIC EMR familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Provide cardiothoracic surgical support in outpatient settings.
• Assist in operating room and postoperative care as needed.
• Schedule: Mon-Fri 7a-4:30p with 1:4 on-call ratio; weekend coverage as assigned.

This facility is seeking a Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant (PA) for locum tenens support as they look to fill a current need.

Details and requirements for this opportunity:

• Schedule: Monday-Friday 7a-4:30p + 1:4 call ratio; Friday 5p - Monday 7a
• Practice Setting: Outpatient
• Types of Cases: Surgical Closure, Vascular and Endoscopic Vessel Harvesting (EVH) cases
• Credentialing Timeframe: 60+ days
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): EPIC
• Certifications Required: Must have Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certifications; Must have a Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA)
