AMN Healthcare seeks a Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant (PA) for locum tenens coverage in Connecticut. Start date ASAP; schedule Monday–Friday, 8-hour days with potential call and 24-hour shifts; inpatient setting.

The PA will handle cardiothoracic cases, pre-operative exams, rounding, surgery assistance, coordination of care, and line placement using Epic EMR. Requires active CT license, NCCPA, BLS, ACLS; credentialing targeted mid-to-late July.

Qualifications

• Active Connecticut license required.
• NCCPA certification required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Cardiothoracic surgery cases, including pre-operative exams and rounding.
• Surgery assistance and coordination of care.
• Central/arterial line placement and endoscopic retrieval.

This facility is seeking a Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant (PA) for locum tenens support as they look to fill a current need.

Details and requirements for this opportunity:

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8-hour day shifts, with potential call and 24-hour shifts.

Practice Setting: Inpatient.

Types of Cases: Cardiothoracic surgery, pre-operative exams, rounding, surgery assistance, coordination of care, central line and arterial line placement, endoscopic retrieval.

Credentialing Timeframe: Start targeted by mid-to-late July.

Electronic Medical Record: Epic.

Certifications Required: National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support.

Licensure Required: Active Connecticut license.
