Job summary

LocumTenens.com seeks a Physician Assistant for cardiovascular surgery call coverage at a hospital-based facility in Myrtle Beach, SC. The assignment runs in blocks of 7–10 days per month, with 12-hour day shifts on weekdays and 24-hour in-house coverage on weekends.

The PA will provide first assist in the OR, perform vein harvesting with the EVH system (Getinge Vasoview Hemopro 2), and collaborate with a small support team to maintain continuous patient care during active recruitment.

Qualifications

• Board certification required: negotiable.
• Prescriptive authority required.
• First assist capabilities in the OR are required.
• Experience in cardiovascular surgery is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide cardiovascular surgery call coverage and inpatient hospital coverage.
• Perform first assist in the OR and vein harvesting using the EVH system.
• Participate in night call when locum clinicians are present.
• Collaborate with 1 mid-level provider and 1 RN during coverage.
