Job summary

LocumTenens.com is seeking a Physician Assistant to provide 24‑hour cardiothoracic surgery call coverage in an inpatient and emergency department setting in Florida. The assignment requires on‑site presence and rapid response with EVH skills.

A board‑certified PA with CT surgery experience is preferred and ER coverage will be part of the schedule. The role involves surgical first‑assist duties across CABG, valve, aortic and thoracic procedures, plus collaboration with Trauma Surgery, Emergency

Qualifications

• Board certification as a Physician Assistant is required.
• Competency in Endoscopic Vein Harvesting (EVH) is required or demonstrable.
• Experience in cardiothoracic surgery as a surgical first‑assistant is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24‑hour cardiothoracic surgery call coverage for inpatient and ED.
• Serve as surgical first‑assistant for CABG, valve, aortic and thoracic procedures.
• Perform EVH including saphenous vein harvesting.
• Coordinate care with Trauma Surgery, Emergency Medicine, Critical Care/Intensivists, and Radiology.
