Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Texas is seeking a Physician Assistant for Cardiothoracic Surgery - Non-Operative to provide direct patient care under a supervising physician. The PA will perform comprehensive exams, order tests, prescribe medications, develop treatment plans, and counsel patients, including perioperative care in inpatient and non-operative settings. Applicants must hold TX PA license and NCCPA certification; BLS within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited PA Program.
• Current Texas PA license and NCCPA certification.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients with comprehensive or focused exams and histories.
• Order and interpret labs and tests to guide care.
• Prescribe medications and other therapies per policy.
• Develop outcomes-based treatment plans with physicians.
• Counsel patients on medications, risks, and health promotion.
