Job summary

LocumTenens.com is seeking a Board-C Certified Physician Assistant for 24-hour cardiothoracic surgery call coverage in an inpatient/ER setting in Florida. The assignment includes surgical first‑assist duties for adult cardiac and thoracic cases, with EVH competency required or demonstrable.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting cardiothoracic surgery procedures including CABG and valve repair.
• Ability to respond to emergent calls within 15 minutes and be on-site within 30 minutes.
• Experience as a surgical first-assist in adult cardiac cases preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour call coverage for inpatient and ED within CT surgery service line.
• Perform EVH and saphenous vein harvesting under supervision as needed.
• Collaborate with Trauma Surgery, Emergency Medicine, Critical Care, and Radiology.
• Postoperative and inpatient patient management within APP scope.
