Job summary

LocumTenens.com seeks a highly skilled Physician Associate to provide 24-hour call coverage for an inpatient and ED cardiothoracic surgery service. You will be the surgical first‑amendment assistant for adult cardiac and thoracic cases, including CABG, valve repairs/replacements, and thoracic procedures.

On-site duties require rapid response with 15-minute phone notice and 30-minute on-site readiness when called, with EVH competency or demonstrated experience in saphenous vein harvesting.

Qualifications

• Board-certified PA with cardiac surgery experience.
• Experience as surgical first‑assist for CABG and valve procedures.
• Competency in EVH or demonstrable skill in saphenous vein harvesting.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour cardiothoracic surgery call coverage for inpatient and ED.
• Perform operative assistance for adult cardiac and thoracic cases.
• Respond to calls within 15 minutes by phone and onsite within 30 minutes when required.
• Collaborate with trauma surgery, critical care, and radiology teams.
