HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital is seeking a Cardiothoracic Surgery Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Acute Care NP) to join a growing program. The role blends operative first assisting, ICU management, and perioperative patient care in a high-volume cardiac and thoracic service.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of first assist in adult cardiothoracic surgery, Florida licensure, and a collaborative approach to delivering exceptional outcomes across the continuum of care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited physician assistant or nurse practitioner program.
• Florida license or ability to obtain before starting.
• 2+ years first assist in adult cardiothoracic surgery.
• EVH with Saphena XL system; TEVAR/robotics experience a plus.
• Participate in urgent and emergent operative cases.

Responsibilities

• Daily management of postoperative cardiac and thoracic patients.
• Hemodynamic assessment and perioperative care.
• Coordination of multidisciplinary teams.
• Discharge planning and transition of care.
• Night/weekend OR call with 1:3 coverage; no overnight shifts.
