Job summary

Kettering Health Network is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA) in Cardiothoracic Surgery at the Main Campus in Ohio. The role conducts advanced cardiovascular care across inpatient and outpatient settings, with emphasis on assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and patient education in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Requirements include current OH APRN/PA license, national NP certification if APRN, DEA registration, and BLS (or within 30 days of hire).

Qualifications

• Current APRN license in the State of Ohio or Physician Assistant license from Ohio Board of Medicine.
• If APRN, must obtain and maintain National certification as a Nurse Practitioner in a relevant specialty area (ANCC or AANP).
• Current DEA registration or ability to obtain prior to prescribing.
• BLS certification, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.

This role is responsible for advanced assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and patient education in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and support operational reliability. Performs other duties as assigned. All job responsibilities are to be carried out in alignment with Kettering Health’s mission, vision, values, and B Safe program. Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license in the State of Ohio or Physician Assistant license from Ohio Board of Medicine. If APRN, must obtain and maintain National certification as a Nurse Practitioner in a relevant specialty area from a board-approved certifying organization (e.g., ANCC, AANP). Current DEA registration or ability to obtain prior to prescribing. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
