Job summary

HCA Florida Largo Hospital is seeking a full-time, experienced physician assistant (PA-C) or nurse practitioner (APRN) to join our cardiothoracic surgery and transplant/MCS team in Largo, FL. The position focuses on first assisting in CVOR cases, inpatient rounding, and clinic duties with emphasis on high-acuity cases.

Qualified candidates should be board-certified, hold Florida licensure, and possess surgical first assist and EVH experience.

Qualifications

• Must be a board-certified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.
• Must hold or obtain an active Florida license before start date.
• Surgical first assist experience is required.
• Endoscopic Vein Harvest (EVH) experience is required.
• Experience in advanced heart failure (LVAD/ECMO/heart transplant) is a plus.
• Call includes rotating weekday work and one weekend per month.

Responsibilities

• First assist in all CVOR cases (CABG, valve procedures, LVAD, transplant).
• Inpatient rounding in ICU and on floors; consult clinic duties.
• Patient education and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Job Summary

HCA Florida Largo Hospital is seeking a full-time, experienced physician assistant (PA-C) or nurse practitioner (APRN) to join our cardiothoracic surgery and transplant/MCS team at Florida Advanced Cardiothoracic Surgery in Largo, FL.

Description

APP will be responsible for first assisting in all CVOR cases (including CABG, valve repair and replacements, aortic surgery, LVAD, heart transplantation, impella, ECMO, thoracic procedures, EVH/ERAH, chest closure), inpatient rounding in the ICU and floors, consult clinic duties, patient education, and collaboration with multidisciplinary team. Our practice sees a wide variety of pathologies and has a high acuity patient census. This is an excellent opportunity for a PA/NP interested in practicing at the top of their scope.
