HCA Florida Largo Neurosurgery Services seeks an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a collaborative neurosurgery team at HCA Florida Largo Hospital. The role involves first assist in neurosurgical procedures, daily hospital rounds, and outpatient clinic support in a team-driven environment.

Qualified candidates will be board certified as NP or PA, hold an active Florida license or be eligible, and have at least 2 years of neurosurgery first assist experience.

Qualifications

• Board Certified NP or PA required.
• Active Florida license or eligibility to obtain licensure prior to employment.
• Minimum of 2 years of neurosurgery first assist experience.
• Strong clinical skills with the ability to manage patient care independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• First Assist in neurosurgical procedures.
• Conduct daily hospital rounds.
• Provide outpatient clinic support and follow-up care.
• Collaborate with the neurosurgeon and care team to deliver patient outcomes.
• Weekly schedule: clinic 2–3 days; inpatient consults and OR 2–3 days.
• Call schedule: 7–10 days per month, including one weekend.

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a highly collaborative neurosurgery practice alongside an established neurosurgeon and dedicated nurse practitioner. This is an excellent opportunity to provide comprehensive patient care in both the inpatient and outpatient settings.

Qualified Candidates Will Have

• Board Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
• Active Florida license or eligibility to obtain licensure prior to employment
• Minimum of 2 years of neurosurgery First Assist experience
• Strong clinical skills with the ability to manage patient care independently and as part of a team

Key Responsibilities

• First Assist in neurosurgical procedures
• Conduct daily hospital rounds
• Provide outpatient clinic support and follow-up care
• Collaborate closely with the neurosurgeon and care team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes
• Weekly schedule — clinic 2 -3 days a week and inpatient consults and operating room 2-3 days a weeks
• Call schedule — seven to ten days a month to include one weekend — mostly phone calls
