Job summary

Health Advocates Network, Inc. seeks a Physician Assistant to join our busy cardiothoracic surgery program in Naples, Florida. This first-assist role covers CABG, valve procedures, aortic surgery, TAVR/TAVI, lung and esophageal cases, and post-op ICU follow-up, with a 4x10 schedule and rotating call.

Competitive compensation ($179k–$252k per year), sign-on bonus, relocation assistance, CME allowances, and full benefits. Must have PA-C, DEA, BLS/ACLS, and CT surgery experience.

Qualifications

• Active PA-C/NCCPA certification.
• DEA registration.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification.
• Minimum 2 years of CT surgery experience.
• Vein harvesting experience required.
• Completion of an accredited Advanced Practice Provider program.
• Board certification in area of specialty or board-eligible with 6 months to obtain certification.

Responsibilities

• First-assist in cardiothoracic surgical cases including CABG, valve repair and replacement, aortic surgery, TAVR/TAVI, lung resection, and esophageal surgery.
• Perform vein harvesting independently.
• Manage post-operative patients in the ICU, including chest tube management and hemodynamic support.
• Take rotating call coverage.
• Collaborate with the surgical team and interdisciplinary staff to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Deliver direct patient care under approved protocols with physician supervision.
• Document patient care accurately in Epic and maintain compliance with clinical and regulatory standards.
• Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, patients, and families.
• Participate in quality improvement, performance evaluation, and continuing education activities.
• Contribute to policy development and clinical program growth as the department expands.

Full-Time | 4x10s, Weekdays | Rotating Call | Naples, FL

This is a first-assist surgical Physician Assistant role inside a busy, full-service cardiothoracic program in Naples, Florida. You will be in the OR for CABG, valve procedures, aortic surgery, TAVR/TAVI, lung resection, esophageal surgery, and more, then following your patients through the post-op ICU. Qualifications

Required:

• Demonstrated surgical exposure across: CABG/bypass, valve repair and replacement, aortic surgery, TAVR/TAVI, lung resection, esophageal surgery, first-assist in OR, post-op ICU management, and chest tube management
• Completion of an accredited Advanced Practice Provider program
• Board certification in area of specialty (board-eligible candidates considered with commitment to obtain certification within 6 months of hire)

Preferred:

• LVAD/MCS experience
• Epic EMR proficiency
