Overview

Medical City Denton is seeking an experienced Acute Care Advanced Practice Provider to care for pre- and post-operative cardiac surgery patients.

Responsibilities

• Care for pre- and post-operative cardiac surgery patients in the CVICU, focusing on recovery and monitoring.
• Manage patients in the CVICU recovering from CABG, valve replacement including TAVR, complex aortic reconstruction, LVAD placement, and heart transplantation, in addition to mechanical circulatory support patients.
• Provide patient consults and discharges after surgery.

Qualifications

• Physician Associate or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
• Texas licensed or ability to obtain licensure
• Experience in CVICU and knowledge of a variety of mechanical circulatory support devices (intra-aortic balloon pump, Impella, VV/VA ECMO)
• Ability to work a flexible full-time schedule
