Job summary

AMN Healthcare seeks a Cardiothoracic Surgeon for locum tenens support in Texas. The assignment is inpatient cardiothoracic surgery with two weekends per month, Friday morning through Monday morning, and hospital rounding from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a 24-hour call requirement.

Credentialing takes 60–90 days; emergency privileges will be requested. Board certification is required or eligible; an active Texas medical license is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in cardiothoracic surgery.
• Active Texas medical license is required.
• Experience in inpatient cardiothoracic surgery and support for cardiac catheterization laboratory procedures.
• Willing to provide weekend on-call coverage.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient cardiothoracic surgery care.
• Support cardiac catheterization laboratory procedures.
• Rounding on patients with scheduled hours and 24-hour call coverage.
