Job summary

LocumTenens.com seeks a cardiothoracic surgeon for a weekend 24-hour call assignment in Southwestern Texas. This on-site inpatient role covers Friday through Monday, starting in November, with one hospital-based NP available to assist.

The facility is a Level 2 Trauma Center with a 280-bed capacity and established CT surgery protocols to support quality patient care during each coverage period. Call coverage is 1:1 and prescriptive authority is not required.

Qualifications

• Board certification in cardiothoracic surgery preferred or negotiable.
• Experience with 24-hour call coverage for weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour on-site CT surgery coverage, Friday through Monday.
• Support Level 2 trauma center operations.
• Collaborate with nursing staff and NP on duty.
