Job summary

AMN Healthcare is seeking a Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician for locum tenens support. Start date ASAP with two weekends per month, Friday morning through Monday morning, and 24-hour on-call coverage in an inpatient CT surgery setting.

Rounding is 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with EMR switching from Meditech to Epic by Oct 30. Board Certification is required or candidates may be considered Board Eligible; active Texas medical license is required.

Qualifications

• Board Certification required; Board Eligible considered.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient cardiothoracic procedures and support for cardiac catheterization laboratory procedures.
• Two weekends per month, Friday morning through Monday morning, with 24-hour call coverage.
• Rounding 8:00 AM–5:00 PM; 24-hour call responsibility.
• Credentialing expected in 60–90 days; emergency privileges may be requested.
• EMR: Meditech currently; Epic switching on Oct 30.

Details & requirements for this opportunity

• Schedule: Two weekends per month, Friday morning through Monday morning. Hospital rounding 8:00 AM–5:00 PM with 24-hour call coverage.
• Practice Setting: Inpatient cardiothoracic surgery.
• Types of Cases: Cardiothoracic surgery and support for cardiac catheterization laboratory procedures.
• Credentialing Timeframe: 60–90 days; emergency privileges will be requested.
• Electronic Medical Record: Meditech currently; switching to Epic on October 30.
• Certifications Required: Board Certification, will consider truly Board Eligible.
• Licensure Required: Active Texas medical license.
