Job summary

The Staff Pad is seeking a patient-centered Cardiothoracic Surgeon to provide comprehensive surgical and consultative care for cardiac and thoracic conditions in inpatient and outpatient settings. Join a collaborative team in Ft. Worth, TX, with a schedule of full-time employment.

Responsibilities include performing a broad range of procedures, coordinating care with multidisciplinary teams, and educating patients and families to support optimal outcomes and recovery.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of residency and/or fellowship in cardiothoracic surgery.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients, perform physical examinations and coordinate care.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests to support accurate diagnoses.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans including surgical procedures.
• Review medical records and educate patients and families on options and recovery.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary care and referrals for continuity of treatment.
• Collaborate with physicians, residents and support staff to deliver patient-centered care.
• Follow clinical guidelines and hospital standards to promote safety.
• Participate in academic, educational and quality-improvement initiatives.
• Build relationships with patients, colleagues and community partners to enhance care.
• Serve as a clinical resource and support community health initiatives.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
