Job summary

The Southern Arizona VA Health Care System (SAVAHCS) seeks a full-time Cardiothoracic Radiologist for the Radiology Service. The physician should have completed Diagnostic Radiology residency and have expertise in cardiothoracic imaging, with the ability to interpret radiographs and perform fluoroscopic exams.

Applicants should have board certification or be eligible, hold an active US medical license, and be prepared to participate in teaching residents and fellows.

Qualifications

• US citizenship and requisite medical licensure in the US
• Board certification or eligibility in Diagnostic Radiology preferred
• Residency in an approved core radiology specialty program
• English proficiency and teaching responsibilities may be expected

Responsibilities

• Interpret radiological examinations with focus on cardiothoracic imaging
• Provide accurate radiologic diagnoses and urgent findings to clinicians
• Engage in teaching and training of residents and fellows
• Participate in call coverage and coverage planning
• Support quality assurance and peer review in Radiology Service
