Job summary

The Valley Hospital-Paramus seeks a Surgical First Assistant to provide expert cardiothoracic care in a collaborative environment. You will support the surgical team and guide patients and families, with involvement in research and clinical leadership.

Minimum 2 years of surgical first assist experience in cardiothoracic procedures is required; endoscopic vein harvesting is a plus. A NJ PA or RN/APN license and board certification are essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold active NJ PA license or RN/APN with NP Masters and board cert.
• Current national board cert for PA or NP required.
• CDS and DEA certificates to be obtained upon employment if not already held.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert clinical practice in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
• Offer guidance and coaching to patients, families, and other providers.
• Engage in research and assume leadership roles within clinical, professional, and systems domains.
