Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking a Cardiothoracic RN for a primarily administrative and coordination-focused role in an outpatient setting. You will schedule surgeries, coordinate with physicians and departments, and guide patients pre- and post-procedure with a focus on safety and efficiency.

The role emphasizes evidence-based nursing care planning, patient education, and collaboration within a high-reliability team to ensure quality outcomes. Day shifts with a 40-hour work week are typical.

Qualifications

• ADN or higher required.
• Current RN license in Ohio or compact state.
• BLS certification required.
• Cardiac, Med/Surg, Vascular or Surgical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate surgery scheduling with operating room and physician schedules; obtain insurance prior authorizations.
• Provide surgical prep instructions; combine patient interaction with administration and multi-department coordination.
• Perform multitasking in a fast-paced ambulatory environment.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care; document outcomes.
• Participate in process improvement and uphold clinical quality, safety, and efficiency.
