Job summary

MUSC Health Cardiothoracic Surgery Columbia is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join their team. You will work with 2 Surgeons and a Physician Assistant to primarily provide inpatient care in a fast-paced setting.

The role emphasizes comprehensive assessments, procedural privileges, and active participation in quality improvement, education, and collaboration with the care team. Columbia, SC-based hospital offers strong support and resources.

Qualifications

• Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a PA, FNP or ANP
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in adult cardiothoracic surgery APP
• Passion for delivering outstanding patient care and working in a collaborative team environment

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient and outpatient care as part of a team with 2 Surgeons and a PA
• Take comprehensive history and perform physical examinations
• Evaluate and treat based on history, exam, radiology, labs, and tests
• Performs therapeutic procedures with approved privileges
• Initiate referrals and consult with attending or collaborating physicians
• Document and bill for direct care and participate in quality/improvement activities
• Support accreditation, compliance and regulatory activities
