Job summary

The Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Main Cardiopulmonary Stepdown unit on the night shift. You will provide holistic patient care using the nursing process, collaborating with physicians and the health team to optimize outcomes.

You will assess and plan care, communicate via SBAR, and participate in discharge planning and professional development while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Must hold active RN license in Ohio.
• BLS certification is required; ACLS within 6 months for step-down/ICU areas.
• BSN within five years of hire for this organization.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic patient care using the nursing process across assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Communicate the plan of care using SBAR during handoffs and shift reports.
• Initiate discharge planning at admission and coordinate referrals as appropriate.
• Maintain safety and infection control measures; respond to emergencies with clinical judgment.
• Demonstrate leadership, mentor peers, and participate in professional development and competency activities.
