Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or equivalent (must be at least 18 years old).
• Veterinary assistant experience is required; experience in a cardiology or specialty environment is a plus.
• A calm and efficient approach, with the ability to handle a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment with composure.
• Confidence and skill in handling pets of all sizes and temperaments.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• The physical capability to lift and carry animals up to 40 lbs, with comfort in prolonged standing, bending, kneeling, and physical activity.
• The ability to travel to secondary locations as required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Hands-On Clinical Support: assist cardiologists and technicians with patient exams, triage, and procedures, venipuncture, medications, and radiographs.
• Support Specialized Cardiac Diagnostics: obtain ECGs, set up Holter monitors, collect data, and document findings.
• Prepare and Support Every Patient: position, restrain, prepare for diagnostics, assist during procedures, and maintain instruments and equipment.
• Provide Compassionate Care: ensure patient comfort and a clean, organized facility.
• Create a Positive Client Experience: discharge patients, review treatment plans, and assist with scheduling and client communications.
• Drive Operational Excellence: maintain records, manage invoices, monitor supplies, and train new teammates.
