Job summary

Mission Pet Health is seeking a Cardiology Veterinary Technician to perform advanced cardiac diagnostics and anesthesia support. You will calculate and administer cardiac medications, draw blood, and assist with imaging in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technician program.
• Current state veterinary technician license in good standing.
• Experience in cardiology, internal medicine, or specialty/referral environments is a plus.
• Calm and efficient approach in fast-paced or stressful situations.
• Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for prolonged periods.
• Ability to travel to secondary locations as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform specialized cardiac diagnostics including ECGs, Holter setup and data collection, BP measurement, and imaging.
• Calculate, prepare, and administer cardiac medications, sedatives, and emergency drugs.
• Perform venipuncture, place IV catheters, collect samples, and take radiographs.
• Provide compassionate patient care and maintain a clean, organized facility.
• Discharge patients, review treatment plans with clients, and assist with scheduling.
• Maintain medical records, prescriptions, and controlled drug logs; mentor teammates.
• Support anesthesia and patient monitoring where applicable, escalate concerns promptly.
