BluePearl Pet Hospital in Olympia, WA is hiring a Licensed Cardiology Veterinary Technician. LVT Pay: $26 - $46 / hour. Schedule: Monday - Friday, float shift.

This pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience and advancement through the Kahuna leveling system. • Report patient signalment, problem list and plan during nursing rounds.
• Calculate basic medical math.
• Understand classification of commonly-used medications, monitor therapeutic response.
• Administer medications via appropriate routes and duration.
• Perform phlebotomy.
• Triage and obtain patient history.
• Assist clinician with diagnostic procedures.
• Patient care including treatments.
• Prepare prescriptions and communicate discharge orders to clients.

As a Cardiology Veterinary Technician , you will:

• Provide nursing care to stable patients according to hospital standards of care and core values.
• Report patient signalment, problem list and plan during nursing rounds.
• Calculate basic medical math.
• Understand classification of commonly-used medications, associated side effects and appropriately monitors therapeutic response.
• Administer medications via appropriate routes and duration.
• Perform phlebotomy
• Triage and obtain patient history
• Assist clinician with diagnostic procedures
• Patient care including treatments
• Prepare prescriptions and communicate discharge orders to clients
