Ethos Veterinary Health in Dublin, CA is hiring a Registered Veterinary Technician or Senior Veterinary Assistant for our Cardiology team. The role involves advanced cardiac diagnostics, anesthesia monitoring, and providing top-tier nursing care to patients.

You will work with cardiologists and a supportive team in a fast-paced, team-focused hospital, with opportunities for growth and hands-on training in a leading specialty setting.

Qualifications

• Current CA-RVT or Senior Veterinary Assistant with relevant experience.
• Solid technical skills and anesthesia knowledge base, sound judgment, and ability to work both independently and in a team.
• General understanding of small animal restraint, focusing on cats and dogs.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, medication calculations and administration, digital radiography, patient prep and recovery, epidural administration, and anesthesia/sedation monitoring for cardiac diagnostics or interventional procedures.
• Assist with advanced cardiac diagnostics such as echocardiograms, ECGs, thoracic radiographs, and Holter monitor placement and home instruction.
• Assist doctors during patient appointments, providing client communication and education.
• Advocate for the patient with compassionate nursing care and ensure appropriate treatment and after-care.
• Collaborate with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
