Job summary

Ethos Veterinary Health, Dublin Cardiology team, seeks a Registered Veterinary Technician or Senior Veterinary Assistant to support advanced cardiac diagnostics and interventional procedures. You will participate in venipuncture, anesthesia monitoring, echocardiography, and patient care alongside skilled clinicians.

Qualifications

• Current California Registered Veterinary Technician (CA-RVT) or Senior Veterinary Assistant with relevant experience.
• Solid technical skills and anesthesia knowledge base; sound judgment; ability to work independently and in a team.
• General understanding of small animal restraint, cats and dogs.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, medication calculations and administration, digital radiography, patient prep and recovery, epidural administration, and anesthesia/sedation monitoring for cardiac diagnostics or interventional procedures.
• Assist with advanced cardiac diagnostics such as echocardiograms, ECGs, radiographs, and Holter monitor placement and instruction for home use.
• Assist doctors during patient appointments, providing client communication and education.
• Advocate for the patient with high-quality nursing care and ensure appropriate treatment and after-care.
