Job summary

SAGE Dublin, part of Ethos Veterinary Health, seeks a Registered Veterinary Technician or Senior Veterinary Assistant to join the Cardiology team in Dublin, CA. You will support advanced cardiac diagnostics and interventional procedures, delivering compassionate nursing care alongside experienced clinicians.

The role emphasizes teamwork, precise anesthesia monitoring, venipuncture and imaging skills, and strong client communication.

Qualifications

• Current California RVT or Senior Vet Assistant with relevant experience.
• Strong anesthesia knowledge and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Small animal restraint experience focused on cats and dogs.
• High school diploma and basic veterinary terminology.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a calm, professional demeanor.
• Ability to multi-task with appropriate follow-through and SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, medication calculations and administration, digital radiography, patient prep and recovery, epidural administration, and anesthesia monitoring for cardiac procedures.
• Assist with echocardiograms, ECGs, thoracic radiographs, and Holter placement for home use.
• Assist doctors during appointments, providing client communication and education.
• Advocate for patient comfort and ensure appropriate care and after-care.
• Collaborate with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams to ensure comprehensive care.
• Contribute to a positive hospital culture and participate in ongoing training.
