Qualifications

• Education requirements: Graduation from a school of professional nursing. If hired after Jan 6, 2014, must pursue BSN/MSN within specified years.
• Licensure: Licensed RN in NC; BLS for Healthcare Provider.
• Experience: One year of nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Education – Identify learning needs of patient and family; attend education programs and assess readiness to learn.
• Evaluation of Care – Identify expected outcomes; discuss revisions with the team and ensure continuity of care.
• Implementation – Provide competent care for complex cases; perform bedside testing as required; follow policies to deliver safe care.
• Leadership – Support goals for professional growth; contribute to unit goals and performance improvement; promote safe care and regulatory compliance.
• Patient Assessment – Synthesize data to determine priorities; plan discharges and advocate for patient needs.
• Planning – Collaborate with patients and families to update care plans; coordinate multidisciplinary resources.
• Research – Engage with current studies and apply relevant findings to practice.
