Job summary

Riley Children's Hospital in Indianapolis is seeking a Telemetry Monitor Technician Supervisor with a flexible schedule (days/nights) to be determined with the department, including weekend and holiday coverage.

A BLS certification is required, and a Bachelor's degree is preferred. Candidates should have 3–5 years of cardiac telemetry experience and be able to supervise the non-invasive cardiology team, coordinating with nursing, engineering and IT to ensure 24/7 patient care.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3–5 years of cardiac telemetry, EKG, or related cardiology experience.
  • Ability to be self-directed and work independently.
  • High level of interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to promote teamwork and develop team members.
  • Basic computer operations experience with Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and direct duties, schedules, and daily operations of the non-invasive cardiology team.
  • Partner with the department manager to recruit, hire, and train the non-invasive cardiology team.
  • Resolve problems collaboratively with team members and department leadership.
  • Ensure 24/7 patient care by coordinating with nursing, clinical engineering, and IT services.
  • Collaborate with department leaders and contribute to decision-making.
  • Available by phone after hours and weekends to support the department.
