Job summary

UnityPoint Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver safe and reliable patient care in coordination with the healthcare team. The role focuses on executing the nursing process and evaluating care outcomes for the specified patient population.

The RN will assess patient needs, develop and implement care plans, administer medications, and educate patients and families. A commitment to professional development and adherence to standards is required.

Qualifications

Graduate of accredited nursing program.
Possess current RN licensure in the State of Iowa or compact state.
Maintenance of Current BLS Certification.
Fluent in English (speaks, reads, writes).
Multicultural sensitivity.
Ability to perform nursing procedures and operate specialized equipment.

Responsibilities

Deliver safe, reliable patient care coordinating with healthcare team.
Execute the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation.
Administer medications and treatments within scope of practice.
Provide patient education and discharge planning.
Support leadership and professional development within the unit.
