Lifepoint Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for FryeCare Cardiology Clinic in Lenoir, NC. The role focuses on stress testing, patient monitoring, and post-procedure care within a dedicated cardiology team.

The position features a Monday–Friday schedule, full-time hours, and opportunities for patient education, coordination with the care team, and professional growth within the Lifepoint network.

Qualifikationen

• Active North Carolina RN license (single-state) or compact.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
• 1 year of Cardiology RN experience preferred.
• Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Aufgaben

• Serve as a Stress Nurse, preparing and supporting patients throughout cardiac stress testing.
• Monitor heart rate, blood pressure, and ECG readings during testing.
• Observe patients for changes or potential complications during stress tests.
• Accurately document patient responses and testing results.
• Provide patient education and support before, during, and after testing.
• Assist with clinic responsibilities and patient care after testing.
• Perform plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and other medical care.
• Document patient care given and communicate patient condition to care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and coordinate patient care across disciplines.
• Evaluate learning needs of patient/family and provide education appropriate to age and culture.
• Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
