Job summary

IHA in Waterbury, CT is seeking a Registered Nurse with cardiology experience for a full-time Day Shift to support cardiac stress testing under the supervision of a cardiologist and the nuclear medicine team.

You will review patient histories, perform focused cardiovascular assessments, manage IV access, administer contrast and medications per protocol, monitor for adverse events and document in EPIC to ensure safe, high-quality outpatient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Current CT RN license.
• Minimum two years of clinical cardiology, ER, CC or related experience.
• BLS & ACLS required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates patients referred for cardiac stress testing.
• Performs focused cardiovascular assessments prior to testing.
• Administers IV access, medications, Definity/contrast as protocol.
• Monitors for ischemia, arrhythmias, and adverse events; responds per ACLS.
• Documents assessments and procedures in EPIC.
