Job summary

The Bryn Mawr Medical Specialists Association seeks a per-diem Registered Nurse to work in the stress lab within the Cardiology I department. You will provide direct patient care, administer medications, and collaborate with physicians to support high-quality outcomes.

The ideal candidate holds a BSN, RN licensure, ACLS certification, and is proficient in starting IVs and reading EKGs. You will participate in care planning, maintain records, and assist with referrals as needed.

Qualifications

• Must hold current RN licensure and a BSN.
• ACLS certification required.
• Proficient in starting IVs.
• Ability to read and interpret EKGs.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• May act as lead or supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Administers treatment and medications under physician instructions.
• Provides emotional and family support; educates on disease management.
• Collaborates with physicians to create care plan.
• Maintains patient records of symptoms and progress.
• Tracks medical supplies and inventory.
• Takes and records vital signs and medical history.
• Collects specimens and performs basic tests.
• Schedules procedures or advanced tests.
• Prepares patient for examination or treatment.
• Audits inventory and orders supplies.
• Assists with referrals and appointments.
• Serves as a subject matter expert in a clinical area.
