Job summary

AdventHealth AHMG Cardiology team in Orlando is seeking an experienced cardiac sonographer to perform echocardiography and vascular studies at Innovation Tower. You will obtain exam histories, capture all views, input findings, and ensure patient safety and accuracy from exam start to finish.

Requirements include RDCS/RVT/RCS/RVS licensure, BLS, 1+ year of relevant experience, and an Associate's degree in cardiovascular sonography. Sign-on bonus available and day-shift schedule.

Qualifications

• RDCS/RVT/RCS/RVS licensure required or equivalent.
• BLS certification required.
• 1+ year relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtains a complete and current history of the patient and the reason for the exam.
• Performs echocardiogram and vascular studies for adequate diagnostic evaluation by reading physicians.
• Obtains all views required for processing.
• Inputs notes and history at the completion of the exam.
• Inputs data at the completion of the exam.
• Maintains a clean and organized work environment.
• Notifies the floor if the patient has had an echocardiogram within the past six months.
• Utilizes all safety measures provided for the department and individual technologists.
• Always uses two types of patient identifiers.
• Assures proper positioning, technique, and protocol for each exam.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
