Job summary

Cayuga Health is seeking a focused Registered Nurse to support cardiology care. The RN will triage via phone, assist with appointments, nurse visits, and patient education, while supervising LPNs and MAs as needed.

Shifts are 7:00am–6:00pm, Monday through Friday, onsite at Cayuga Primary Care and Cayuga Women’s Health Ithaca. Requires NYS RN licensure and cardiology knowledge. Competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Basic cardiology knowledge and patient education required.
• Knowledge of insurance prior authorization processes helpful.
• Ability to perform manual blood pressure checks and vitals assessment.

Responsibilities

• Performs professional nursing care in accordance with NYS Nursing Practice Act.
• Assists physicians and team with patient care and triage in the cardiology practice.
• Prepares patient record for visits and nurse notes; participates in team meetings to discuss care.
