Job summary

UPMC Altoona is seeking an RN Staff Nurse in the T12 Cardiology unit for the night program. This union position involves 0.9 FTE, night shifts, with rotation and every-other weekend/holiday rotation, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM (36 hours/week).

You will join an interdisciplinary team, participate in a defined career ladder, and access enhanced pay with a $2/hour night differential plus off-shift differential. Generous sign-on bonuses and tuition loan support are available.

Qualifications

• Must be a registered nurse with a current RN license to practice.
• Night shift experience preferred.
• Minimum 6 months RN experience required to participate in the night program.
• Future graduates may apply up to 1 year in advance of graduation.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care using nursing protocols and administer medications and IV therapy.
• Assess and reassess patient needs and document changes on care plans.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans.
