Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a part-time nurse to deliver patient care using the nursing process, conduct assessments, and coordinate teaching and care with the health team. The role emphasizes safety, quality improvement, and collaboration.

The ideal candidate has a cardiology background with over one year of experience and the ability to interpret ECG rhythms. Required are BLS and ACLS certifications and a valid nursing license in the state of practice.

Qualifications

• Active nursing license in the state of practice is required.
• Associate degree or diploma in nursing is required; BSN preferred.
• Ability to interpret ECG rhythms and cardiology background is expected.

Responsibilities

• In collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team, conducts initial and ongoing patient assessment.
• Analyzes assessment data, creates a plan of care, implements treatment and evaluates treatment effectiveness.
• Administers medications safely and coordinates care across hospital departments.
• Acts as a patient safety advocate and participates in quality improvement within the department.
• Incorporates the professional practice model into care delivery.
