Job summary

Mercy Health – Youngstown, OH seeks a per diem (PRN) registered nurse to deliver patient care using the nursing process. You will collect data, prioritize patient needs, teach patients, and coordinate care with the health team.

Responsibilities include assessing patients, planning and administering care, and ensuring safety while collaborating with multiple departments. BLS/ACLS and an active nursing license are required.

Qualifications

• BLS Basic Life Support required.
• ACLS required.
• Valid nursing license from the state of practice (required).
• Associate of Nursing, nursing (required).
• Diploma in Nursing (required).
• Bachelor's degree in nursing (preferred).
• Ability to interpret ECG rhythms; Cardiology background >1 year.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients using the nursing process and develop a plan of care.
• Administer medications safely per state practice and policies.
• Coordinate patient teaching and care across health team members.
• Act as a patient safety advocate and participate in quality improvement.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care team for comprehensive care.
• Ensure continuity of care across hospital departments.
