Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, FL is seeking a licensed RN for our Cardiology team. This full-time day-shift role offers opportunities to float to cardiology practices downtown as needed and to participate in ongoing professional development.

You will assess patients, develop care plans, administer medications, educate patients, and coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team while adhering to safety and infection-control standards. A Florida RN license and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Nurse license in Florida (RN) is required.
• Associate degree in nursing is required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• 1+ year of acute care hospital experience preferred.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments across physiological, psychological, and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement patient care plans and adjust as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and protocols.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and self-care.
• Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate patient care and document in medical records.
• Monitor patient outcomes and ensure infection control and safety standards are met.
• Provide emotional support to patients and families as needed.
• Supervise and delegate care within the healthcare team.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and performance improvement.
