Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiovascular Surgery team at Innovation Tower. This full-time day shift supports the Celebration office as needed, conducts comprehensive assessments, develops and updates individualized care plans, administers medications, and educates patients and families.

Collaborate with the medical staff, document care activities accurately, maintain infection control, and participate in performance improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Nursing required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
• RN license required with BLS CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments across physiological and psychosocial factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and regularly revise them.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and protocols.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments and self-care.
• Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate and optimize care.
• Document care activities accurately in the medical record.
• Monitor infection control, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
