AdventHealth is hiring an experienced Registered Nurse in Orlando, FL for a day shift in Cardiology. You will conduct comprehensive assessments, develop care plans, and administer medications while educating patients and families.

Collaboration with the care team, precise documentation, and ongoing professional development are essential. The role requires an Associate's degree in Nursing with Florida RN licensure.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Active Florida RN license (or eligible).
• Basic computer skills; able to navigate Windows-based programs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients across physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans; regularly evaluate and revise as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and protocols; monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatments, medications and self-care.
• Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate care and ensure effective communication.
• Document patient information, care activities, interventions, and outcomes accurately.
• Evaluate care Plan effectiveness and adjust to improve outcomes.
• Ensure infection control and safety compliance; respond to code situations promptly.
• Provide emotional support and therapeutic communication to patients and families.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to care team; participate in performance improvement.
• Engage in ongoing professional development.
