Cardiovascular Institute of the South seeks a Registered Nurse to deliver compassionate, holistic care to cardiology patients under physician guidance. You will support assessment, treatment, education, and care coordination while ensuring safe clinical practices.

Responsibilities include stress testing, EKG monitoring, medication administration, and collaboration with the care team to optimize outcomes. Minimum RN licensure and BLS/ACLS required; advanced cardiology certification and critical

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current RN licensure.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (required).
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
• Skilled in IV therapy, EKG interpretation, and emergency response.
• Preferred: advanced certification in cardiology/cardiovascular nursing and two years of critical care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care, including assessments, stress testing, EKG monitoring, and medication administration.
• Collaborate with physicians and the care team during daily rounds to optimize patient outcomes.
• Document clinical findings, progress notes, and patient information accurately in the EMR/EHR.
• Educate patients and families, advocating for their needs and respecting their values.
• Support quality improvement initiatives, staff education, and community wellness efforts.
