Job description

Thomas Jefferson University Hospital is currently accepting applications for a full-time Cardiology position with our community physicians group, Jefferson Community Physicians. This position will be based in Northeast Philadelphia.

Responsibilities

1. Provide outpatient and inpatient general and consultative cardiology services.
2. Manage patient care on the cardiac consultative and inpatient services.
3. Develop an outpatient general and consultative cardiology practice.
4. Provide on-call coverage as needed.

Minimum Requirements

• MD or DO from an accredited program.
• Board-certified in Cardiovascular Diseases.
• Ability to obtain a medical license in the Commonwealth of PA prior to start date.

About the Jefferson Heart Institute

The Jefferson Heart Institute is the center of the division's outpatient clinical practice, including patient testing, anticoagulation program, cardiovascular risk reduction program, and the Advanced Heart Failure and Cardiac Transplant Center. The Division of Cardiology also operates three outpatient satellite facilities and the Jefferson Angioplasty Center located in Jefferson University Hospital.

• Comprises 36 full-time academic cardiologists in a multidisciplinary practice with strong clinical, research, and teaching programs, including Critical Care Cardiology, a nationally recognized Structural and Interventional Cardiology section, Electrophysiology subdivision, and an Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant program.
• Four ACGME-accredited fellowship programs: General Cardiovascular Disease, Interventional Cardiology, Electrophysiology, and Advanced Heart Failure & Transplant.
• Active research program with faculty involved in independent projects, sponsored trials, investigator-initiated studies, and grants.
