Job summary

UNC Health in North Carolina seeks a Cardiology Physician Assistant to join the busiest cardiology service in the UNC Healthcare System. You will work with cardiologists and NP/PA colleagues in a 24/7 busy service, providing high-quality, evidence-based care with strong autonomy and support.

Responsibilities include patient history, exams, treatment plans, education, and collaboration with the team to improve productivity and care outcomes. Licensure in NC and DEA are required.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited graduate-level Advanced Practice Provider (PA) program.
• Licensed as an Advanced Practice Provider in North Carolina.
• Board certification if required by the Department. DEA.

Responsibilities

• Obtain health history, perform physical exams, review tests, and develop treatment plans.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatment, and follow-up.
• Provide instruction to physicians, housestaff, nursing, and students.
• Communicate with patients and team professionally and promptly.
• Engage in quality improvement and lead/participate in care-delivery projects.
