Job summary

UNC Health Rex Healthcare in Raleigh, NC seeks a Cardiology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the busiest cardiology service in the UNC Health system. You will work with cardiologists to deliver high-quality care with autonomy in a 24/7 service.

Night shift 7p-7a, full-time, 40 hours weekly. Must have graduate APRN/PA training and NC licensure. Board certification and DEA may apply. Strong clinical skills and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited graduate-level Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA) program.
• Licensed as an Advanced Practice Provider in North Carolina (APRN, PA, etc.).
• Board certification if required by the Department; DEA.
• No prior experience required.
• Demonstrated clinical competency and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient history and perform physical exams; order and interpret tests; develop treatment plans and follow-up.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and follow-up care.
• Provide education to physicians, housestaff, nursing staff, and students; participate in teaching activities.
• Lead, precept, and participate in rounds, trainings, and team meetings.
• Engage in quality improvement and participate in interdisciplinary projects to improve care.
• Document thoroughly to support accurate billing and care plans.
