Job summary
Inova Health System's Cardiology outpatient team is seeking a dedicated Outpatient Registered Nurse (RN) to join the practice. This full-time daytime role runs Monday through Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm, offering patient-centered care in a dynamic outpatient setting.
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's or Associate Degree in Nursing, is RN-licensed in Virginia, and possesses BLS certification. Cardiology experience is preferred, with emphasis on processing intakes and medication reconciliation to
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Associate Degree. If ADN, BSN must be completed within 5 years of start date.
- Licensure: RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association.
- Experience: 0 years of RN clinical experience.
- Preferred: Greater than 1 year of RN experience in Cardiology or related units like IMCU, PCU, Tele, CVICU.
Responsibilities
- Performs essential duties in clinic or outpatient settings.
- Reconciliation of medications.
- Stress testing support (Regular, Echo and Nuclear).
- Assist patients with INR management.
- Provide safe, holistic care and patient education in a physician practice.
